Seattle - Magnolia

Magnolia

Magnolia is the second largest neighborhood of Seattle, Washington by area. It occupies a hilly peninsula northwest of downtown. Magnolia is somewhat isolated from the rest of Seattle, connected to the rest of the city by three bridges over the tracks of the BNSF Railway. A good portion of the peninsula is Discovery Park. Discovery Park at 534 acres is Seattle Largest Public Park.

Magnolia's business district, called "Magnolia Village" by locals, is home to many specialty stores and professional services. It also includes some of Seattle's top restaurants, and industrial marine services. In the picture below the Elliott bay marina can be seen in the foreground with the hilly Magnolia peninsula in the background.
